Basheba unveils new track 'Shame'

Ahead of the release of her new EP Axiom Pt. 2, Basheba has unveiled a new track called ‘Shame’.

The track is true to Basheba’s personal sound, showcasing her stunningly soulful vocals and her ‘from the heart’ lyrics. ‘Shame’ is a slick, RnB infused track which every person who’s every been wronged by a loved one will relate to.

Of the song, Basheba said: “I wrote this about a real situation I went through. At the time I was writing it to vent but it ended up being one of my favourite songs I’ve written. I feel a lot of people will relate to Shame and the story behind it. It was produced by Ogre and Runone who I’ve worked with a lot in the past. Runone sent me the beat and I instantly fell in love with it.”

It’s evident that Basheba has continued to mature and grow with every musical release. Her last track ‘Don’t Go’ accumulated over 100,000 views on YouTube in its first two months, whilst ‘Come Back To Me’ saw her team up with producer XVR BLCK to create a beautiful homage to 90’s RnB. Her previous offerings have garnered support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, BBC Introducing, 6 Music, SBTV, Complex and many more.

Basheba’s new EP is due to be released on October 14, and is the second part to Axiom which was released back in April. If ‘Shame’ is anything to go by, her new EP is going to blow minds with its alt pop, RnB and Trip Hop vibes.
