Disgusting footage shows college football star playing on after vomiting through his helmet

No one can accuse Reuben Unije of not giving his all for the team.

The American college football star battled through illness to help Houston Cougars to victory against Sam Houston State Bearcats on Saturday and went viral in the process.

A video of Unije unloading a waterfall of vomit through his helmet has been shared online and racked up millions of views just 12 hours later.

After he’d finished throwing up, the offensive tackle took a deep breath and proceeded to play on as if nothing had happened – his teammates did the same thing.

Despite feeling a bit worse for wear, Unije did a good job of protecting Cougars quarterback Donovan Smith who found a man downfield just short of a first down in the play that followed.

Ultimately, his side picked up a 38-7 win and improved their record to 2-2 for the season.

The Bearcats suffered a third consecutive defeat to continue their poor start to the 2023 campaign.

Cougars will travel to Texas Tech to take on the Red Raiders next week.

The 6’5’, 300lb offensive tackle assured fans he would be fit for that game after explaining exactly why he vomited.

"That pre game dinner had me messed up. Anyway if y’all want more funny videos subscribe to my YouTube," he tweeted on Saturday evening.
