Willie Watkins - Age, Family, Bio

One half of the Massachusetts-born EDM duo Barely Alive alongside Matt Meier. The pair first rose to fame in 2014 for the release of their EP Lost in the Internet. They went on to release their debut album We Are Barely Alive in 2015.

Before Fame

He and his collaborator Matt Meier both graduated from the Monument Mountain Regional High School music program in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He focused in drumming, though he was adept at picking up a number of instruments.

Barely Alive scored five consecutive Beatport #1 singles between 2015 and 2016.

Family Life

His father was an amateur musician, focused primarily in playing the guitar. His father was also the rock critic Seth Rogovoy and exposed him to classic rock shows from the ripe age of five.
